This Privacy Policy describes how K-Tap ("the app", "we", "our") handles information when you use it. K-Tap is a Korean travel phrasebook for international visitors, built to work offline and to respect your privacy.

1. Summary

• We (the developer of K-Tap) do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers. K-Tap has no backend of its own.
• The app displays third-party advertisements through Google AdMob, which collects limited technical data on our behalf, as described below.
• Everything you create in the app — favorites, custom phrases, custom images — is stored only on your device.
• You can remove advertising entirely by purchasing K-Tap Unlimited in-app.

2. Data We Collect Ourselves

None. K-Tap does not include any analytics, crash reporting, telemetry, or account system. We do not run any servers that receive data from the app.

3. Data Collected by Third-Party Services

3.1 Google AdMob (advertising)

The app displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google, as the data controller, may collect the following categories of information:

• Device identifiers (such as IDFA when you grant tracking permission, or IDFV otherwise)
• Approximate location derived from your IP address (city or region level)
• Advertising interaction data (ad impressions, clicks, viewability)
• Basic product interaction data used for ad measurement (app launches, sessions)
• SDK crash logs and performance diagnostics

This information is used by Google to serve and measure advertising. It may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.

3.2 Apple StoreKit (in-app purchase)

When you purchase K-Tap Unlimited, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple. K-Tap does not have access to your payment method, billing address, or Apple ID. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Stored Only on Your Device

The following data never leaves your device. It is stored in K-Tap's private sandbox and cannot be accessed by us or any third party:

• The list of phrases you have marked as favorites
• Custom phrases you have created (English, Korean, and pronunciation text)
• Custom icon images you attach to your phrases (from camera or photo library)
• Your app preferences (such as image/text display mode)

Uninstalling K-Tap removes all of this local data from your device.

5. Camera and Photo Library

When you choose to add a custom photo as a phrase icon, K-Tap may request access to your camera or photo library. Any photo you select is:

• Stored only inside K-Tap's private folder on your device
• Never uploaded to us, to Google, or to any other party
• Automatically deleted when you delete the associated custom phrase or uninstall the app

6. Advertising Choices

• Limit ad tracking: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track".
• Reset your advertising identifier: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
• Remove ads entirely: purchase K-Tap Unlimited from the in-app paywall. This is a one-time, non-subscription purchase.

7. Children's Privacy

K-Tap is rated 4+ but is designed for adult travelers visiting South Korea. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has interacted with the app in a way that concerns you, please contact us using the details below.

8. Your Rights

Because K-Tap does not collect personal data on our servers, we have no personal records to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You can, at any time:

• Delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the app.
• Manage app tracking permissions in iOS Settings.
• Exercise your rights over data collected by Google AdMob by following Google's instructions in their privacy policy linked above.

9. Data Retention

We retain no data ourselves. Data collected by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention schedule. Local data on your device persists until you delete the relevant item or uninstall the app.

10. International Data Transfers

Any data collected via Google AdMob may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, in accordance with Google's policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected in a subsequent app update where appropriate. Your continued use of K-Tap after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
